Philippine casinos ordered to close

Oriental Paradis Casino in the Philippines' Paradis Casino has been ordered to close on charges of non-compliance, media reports said.

The property is located in the Subic Bay Freeport Area, which previously hosted U.S. Navy facilities. The freeport area is located 68.4 miles north of Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer newspaper said casino operator Frontier Wish International on Monday received a letter from authorities in Subic Bay Metropolitan from closing properties that were reported to have failed to comply with a revenue-sharing agreement between the two sides. 바카라사이트 추천

The report said the closure order would become invalid if Frontier Wish International complied with the terms of the authorities.

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority is "the Philippine government's operations and implementation department to create employment opportunities by developing 262 square miles and 670 square kilometers of Subic Bay Freeport into a continuous tourism, industry, commerce, finance, and investment hub," the website reads.

The Inquirer reported that Frontier Wish International did not mention a closure order on how much it owed the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. However, the newspaper said it cited the authority's board resolution that casinos operating under the license of Philippine Amuse & Gaming Corporation Paizico in the free port area should transfer 3% of all casino revenue to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

Frontier Wish International acquired Oriental Farada from its previous operator in July 2012, according to Inquirer. It began operating Is Casino.
